Madrid

We are at the airport about to leave for Barcelona. I've been posting a lot of photos on Facebook , but here's a collage for those of you who haven't seen them.

We have loved Madrid and would definitely come back!

We took a day tour outside of Madrid; snow in the mountains! Lunch was a six course meal at 3pm which included octopus with chickpeas (surprisingly excellent) and 2 desserts...sorry, no pics!

Mushrooms and egg...YES! The rest....not so much (Craig has a way stronger stomach seafood-wise and had it all).

Madrid--Day 3

A long walk to the Royal Palace and then to Retiro Park after an interesting lunch.  Back at the hotel for a bit before heading out for more tapas!  A little more overcast today, but no rain.

Day 2--Madrid

Madrid Day 2

We started off at the Prado Museum and then walked around some of the old town (the palace, the opera, etc.). We had lunch at Segun Emma: Parmesan rocket salad, curried chicken, and pumpkin ravioli. More walking after and then a nap at the hotel. We'll head back into the city for tapas tonight! The weather is still great!

Madrid Day 1

We landed around 11am (3 am TX time), dropped our luggage at the hotel, and then we were off! The weather (so far) is beautiful!

We had lunch at El Neru...manchego cheese and some tasty bread, adobu (chorizo, potatoes, & onions), and salad.

We're back at the hotel for a bit and then going on a tapas tour for dinner this evening.

They had a great time in Colorado, but I'm sure glad they're back!
